Privacy

rodonic.com is a small website of plain pages that I run from Fort Erie, Ontario. It collects very little, and this page says what does pass through.

What's collected

• Nothing directly. There are no accounts, forms, comments or ads here, and I don't run analytics or tracking scripts on the site.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. Those logs include your IP address (the number that identifies your connection), your browser type and the page you asked for. Cloudflare holds them, not me.
• The site doesn't set cookies of its own.

Search Console

I use Google Search Console to see how this site shows up in Google search, such as which searches bring people here and which pages appear. It reports on search results, not on what you do on the site, and it doesn't place anything in your browser.

Newsletter signup

The newsletter form at /newsletter/ is the one place this site collects anything, and it is the exception to any line on this page that says the site collects nothing. If you use it, I store your email address, which site you signed up on, the time, the wording of the consent you saw, your country, your IP address and your browser type. I keep that record because Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) means I have to be able to show that you asked to hear from me. To check that you're a person, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a short check in your browser. When I do send email, every message will have an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me at [email protected] to delete your address and that record.

If you email me

I use messages sent to [email protected] only to reply to you. They aren't added to a mailing list or shared with anyone. I treat your email as permission to reply to you, and nothing more.

This site links to other websites, including thisismyurl.com. They have their own privacy practices.

Changes

If I ever add analytics, a form or anything else that collects information, I'll update this page first.
